We often speak of 'long-haul love' at Traffick911, and Alaina Johnson exemplifies this commitment. Beginning as a volunteer over a decade ago, Alaina has steadfastly championed Traffick911 and the survivors we serve, navigating the challenges that nonprofits often face. Her dedication led her to serve as a board member, where she applied her extensive business expertise to guide the organization through financial stewardship and growth, even amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Professionally, Alaina brings her strategic insight to her role as a Senior Program Manager at Amazon, and now serves on Traffick911 Advisory Board. We are privileged to recognize Alaina as a 2025 Woman of Hope.

My journey with Traffick911 has been one of deep commitment, resilience, and unwavering hope. From the early days of street teams and volunteer trainings to school presentations and juvenile detention outreach, I have witnessed firsthand the transformative impact of this work. As a former board member and mentor, I have seen lives changed, hope restored, and survivors empowered to reclaim their futures. While leadership and strategies have evolved over the years, the mission has remained steadfast—bringing hope and freedom to those trapped in the darkness of trafficking.

What keeps me here, after all these years, is knowing what's at stake. I have seen the faces of the vulnerable youth in our own community—kids who should be worrying about school and friendships, not survival. The reality is stark: trafficking isn't some distant issue; it's happening in our backyard to the most vulnerable among us. I personally experienced the devastating loss of a mentee who attended a high school in my son's school district. That loss was a painful reminder that this fight is truly one of life and death.

But I have also seen hope. I have witnessed a mentee defy the odds—graduating high school, securing her first apartment, and starting her own business. Her journey is a testament to the resilience of survivors and the power of unwavering support. Stories like hers fuel my commitment to this work, proving that freedom and healing are possible.

And so, we must continue. The growth of Traffick911's team and platform is inspiring, and I am honored to stand alongside passionate individuals who refuse to look away. The fight is crucial, and we must keep going—giving our hearts, our time, and our resources—to protect and restore the lives of our youth. When we stand together, we build a future where every child in our community has the chance to thrive.
