Beyond her advocacy work, she is a devoted wife and mother, pouring the same love, strength, and support into her family as she does into the world around her.

Robyn’s “Why”

“In 2014, the crisis of human trafficking was placed on my heart, and I knew someday I wanted to get involved in the fight against it.  A few years later, after moving to the DFW area, I learned of Traffick911 and knew I wanted to be involved in their mission somehow.

After attending the volunteer orientation, trafficking weighed even heavier on my heart as I learned of victims living in my city.  It was difficult to hear and grasp that this crisis was happening in my backyard. At that time, Traffick911 was using volunteers as their Voice & Choice mentors.  My heart was to volunteer for this program, but I couldn't commit fully due to having small children at home.  I have been a "background" volunteer in many aspects with Traffick911 and attended many events since I began partnering with them.

For almost 10 years, I have watched Traffick911 grow into what it is today. Their vision and practice of one-on-one advocacy and mentorship through the Voice & Choice program sets Traffick911 apart from other organizations. Traffick911 becomes a part of survivors' communities by holistically connecting with them on a deeper level.  I believe God has created all of us to be in community with one another. Traffick911 creates a safe, God-centered community for the boys and girls they serve by showing love and support. They serve countless hours to pour into the lives and hearts of survivors of child sex trafficking.

I'm grateful for the opportunity to be a Woman of Hope for Traffick911. It allows me to contribute, even in a small way, to supporting trafficking survivors while staying true to something I believe in: community.”
